Continuing Education - All TMJ Patients are NUTS, right? How to evaluate, diagnosis and treat the most common TMJ problems
Description
Temporomandibular disorders (TMD) remain a challenging area for many dentists due to limited training and clinical experience. In this session, Dr. Spencer will review key head and neck anatomy and present practical, straightforward approaches for the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of common TM disorders.
The program will also explore obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), highlighting the dentist’s critical role in screening, referral, and treatment. Attendees will gain a better understanding of normal sleep, the impact of OSA in adults and children, and the use of oral appliance therapy as part of a multidisciplinary approach.
